Crappy Attitude Night...

My sisters and I decided to set aside one night a week to be together and do some crafts. We decided that we would call it "Craft Night"; however, after the first night together, the name changed to "Crappy Attitude Night". I won't get into the details to why... that's not the point of this post!

The term "craft" is defined as an activity involving skill in making things by hand. But we use the term "craft" more loosely at our house. Crafts at the Skidmore house range from "crafting your body" by doing your nails, "crafting our relationship" by sitting around and talking, "crafting our appetite" with Brook's homemade Strawberry Shortcake, and "crafting each other's attitude" as we sit around the table and critique/tease one another!

We have produced real crafts too, and this one is the best. One idea evolved into three different variations. See if you can decide who made what before you get to the bottom picture...

A towel...

A pillow...

And a duvet...

We had so much fun making these crafts together. I've decided that crafting is HARD!!!!! It takes a lot of time, money, and energy. The payoff is having something cute at your house that you can call your own. And the best part about this particular craft? The memories of "crappy attitude night" that it will always remind me of.

Productive Procrastination...

I have discovered my true talent this summer. I've become deceptively good at procrastinating. I wouldn't classify myself as your typical procrastinator, I am even better because I am a productive procrastinator. Here are the things that are keeping me from my studies, including this post...

My house gets cleaned two or three times a week.

My golf game has improved drastically.
(...and by drastically, I mean not at all.)

Made crab cookies... and ate them :)

Hanging out with this handsome man.

Crafts galore.
(...these are homemade coasters: before being fired.)

Catching up on sleep.
(Nate thinks he's funny.)

And after all that, then I am able to start my homework.

I have three more papers and one project due in four days. Then it's time for Nate and I to have a summer's worth of fun in three weeks :)

Everyone Climbs...

We went camping this past weekend in Steamboat Springs and one of my favorite parts of the trip was going to the hot springs!!! It was so much fun. They had 6 or 7 different pools at different temperatures, and each pool had different activities... a diving board, obstacle course, basketball hoops, slides, fountains, and a climbing wall!!!

Everyone wanted a turn climbing, but only one person made it to the top. The pictures will tell the rest...

Daveed...
Macy...
Nate...
Maxwell...
So who was the only one who made it to the top?...

How poor people do P90X...

This is how poor people do P90X. They go out into fields, find rocks of similar sizes, and use them as weights. We are going to be ripped in a few days, to say the least...

(I thought we agreed to be hard-core, but Macy is smiling...
I'm pretty sure she did that on purpose.)
